IMPORTANT: This year Boxers will have to wear headgear, groin guards (male boxers only) and mouthguards. You'll also need to supply a photo, for the program and a photocopy of your driver’s licence - back and front. A photocopy of Vaccine Pass if required.
The boxers understand that they are competing in a charity event where no money is payable to them and this is done completely voluntarily. We will have a training options available 12 weeks out from fight night, free of charge if done at the Kaitaia Boxing Club with Kaitaia Boxing Trainers. This starts in June 2022. Alternatively the boxers may choose to train where, and with who they like at their own cost.
We will supply the boxers with a singlet and shorts which MUST be worn on the night.(You are able to keep this uniform.) We will also have a supply of gloves, head gear, groin guards available for use on the night, (these are handed back on the night). YOU will need to purchase a mouth guard that MUST be worn.
We encourage you to find yourself a sponsor for your fight however we will source one for you if you don't manage to find one.
You will need to Weigh In the day of the fight; this will be done in 2 groups. If you are on the first half of the card you will need to be at the children’s complex centre at 1.00pm (Carpark at Te Ahu – South Rd entrance). When entering your weight put the weight you will be fighting at. It doesn't have to be completely accurate. We will match you with an opponent closer to the time, not less than 6 weeks out.
The boxers will have the first option of paying and choosing a table (10 to a table) and then tables will be released a week later. Sorry, but if you haven't paid we cannot hold the tables. 1 table available per boxer however there may be more if we don't get enough sponsors on board.
NOTE: When training at Boxing Club please adhere to the Club rules
